Why buy from us

Why these are different

From one farm

Both products start with garlic we grew ourselves in the Fall River Valley, never imported or blended in from anywhere else. What you taste traces straight back to our fields.

Made with organic garlic

The freeze-dried garlic is certified organic. The garlic honey is made with that same certified organic garlic, fermented in honey.

Keeps in the pantry

A powder for the spice shelf and honey that stores at room temperature, so you always have farm garlic on hand without anything going to waste.

No prep

The powder skips the peeling and chopping and stirs straight into whatever you are cooking. The honey is ready to spoon over food or stir into a dressing.

Garlic product questions

About our garlic products

What do you sell on this page?

We sell the products we make from our own garlic: freeze-dried garlic powder and garlic honey. Both start with garlic grown here in the Fall River Valley. If you want bulbs to plant, those are on our certified organic seed garlic page.

Is the garlic in these products from your own farm?

Yes. Everything here is made from garlic we grew ourselves, never imported or blended in from other sources. It is one farm from the field to the jar.

Is the garlic certified organic?

Yes. The garlic we use is our own certified organic garlic, grown to USDA Organic, CCOF, and Real Organic Project standards.

Can I eat your seed garlic too?

You can. Our seed garlic bulbs are dual purpose and cook beautifully, so plenty of people order them for the kitchen. Browse them on our seed garlic page.

How do I reach you with a question?

The best way to reach us is by email. There are only three of us running the farm, so you are not writing to a call center; you are reaching one of the people who actually grows the garlic. We read every message and are glad to help.

Freeze-dried garlic

What is freeze-dried garlic?

It is our garlic, freeze-dried and ground into a fine powder you keep on the spice shelf. It blends into whatever you are cooking with no peeling or chopping.

How do I cook with the powder?

Stir it into sauces, dressings, rubs, soups, or anything you would add fresh garlic to. A little goes a long way, so start small and adjust to taste.

Is the freeze-dried garlic organic?

Yes, it is certified organic. It is made from our own certified organic garlic and nothing else.

Does the powder need refrigeration?

No. Kept sealed in a cool, dry cupboard, the powder is shelf-stable, which is what makes it handy to always have garlic on hand.

How is it different from store-bought garlic powder?

Most garlic powder is made from imported garlic of unknown origin. Ours is freeze-dried from a single source, our own certified organic garlic, so you know exactly where it came from.

Garlic honey

What is garlic honey?

It is whole cloves of our garlic fermented in honey. You get both the infused honey and the mellowed cloves in the jar.

Is the honey organic?

The honey itself is not certified organic, and almost no honey is. Bees forage for miles in every direction, so no beekeeper can control or certify every flower they visit. What we stand behind is the garlic: it is our own certified organic garlic, fermented in honey. The product is made with organic garlic, but we never call the honey itself organic.

What sizes does the garlic honey come in?

It comes in 4 oz and 8 oz jars. Choose your size on the product page before adding it to the cart.

How do I use garlic honey?

Spoon it over toast, cheese, or roasted vegetables, stir it into dressings and marinades, or use it anywhere you want a little sweet and savory at once. The fermented cloves are good on their own too.

How should I store the garlic honey?

Garlic honey is shelf-stable. Keep the jar closed in a cool, dark spot at room temperature; it is the natural acidity of the honey that keeps it stable, so it does not need refrigerating. If you would rather chill it once it is open you can, though cold can thicken or crystallize the honey.
